Pre-care Instructions
COVID-19 GUIDELINES
- Wear a mask (covering nose & mouth)
- Do not bring anyone other than yourself to the appointment.
Please have your hair freshly washed, avoid consuming anything with caffeine (coffee, sodas, energy drinks, migraine pills) 24 hours before your appointment. Also avoid any blood thinners like alcohol or aspirin. Please make sure you follow these instructions, it is extremely important you do to achieve the desired results. Your skin must not be visibly tanned or burned.
Please bring a form of ID.
NJ Taxes are applicable to all permanent makeup procedures.
Note: We have a 15 minute late policy, date can’t be rescheduled or cancel if not done 7 business days prior to your appointment.
NO FOOD, NO KIDS.
If you have a first time session we encourage you to park in the back of our building which has up to 8 hours parking.
Same instructions as eyebrows as well as the following;
Avoid waterproof mascara for at least 5 days prior to procedure, do not come in for your appointment wearing eye makeup.
If you are a contact lenses wearer you must bring glasses since contacts need to be removed in order to start the procedure and kept out for a minimum of 48 hours after procedure.
Must not have any eyelash extensions on and needs to stay away from them for a minimum of 14 days post procedure.
Must not be using any eyelash growth enhancement serums for a minimum of 2 months.
- Please arrive eyebrow make-up free and with clean brows.
- Exfoliate brows the night before the treatment.
- Avoid skin treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels and spray tan on the face before the appointment.
Aftercare Instructions
Wash your eyes with plenty of water the night of procedure before going to bed, pad dry and dry heal for the next 7 days and no moisture. Ice them as needed throughout the week if swelling is present. Keep contacts out for 48 hours, refrain from wearing eye makeup for the next 7 days, no eyelash extensions for a minimum of 14 days and if you are coming back for your touch up appointment do not start any lash growth enhancement serums.
DAY 1
Cleanse your lips throughly with a cotton pad and lukewarm water before going to bed the night of procedure. Re-apply the healing balm provided throughout the day as needed.
DAY 2
Swelling is usually fully gone by this day.
Continue to dry heal and keep them moist using the healing balm provided.
DAY 3-7
Keep them moist by using your healing balm.
By this time the scabs should be fully peeled off. Always protect your lips from UV exposure.
During the entire healing process do not use whitening tooth paste and to drink hot beverages use a straw, refrain from eating or drinking acids or spicy food.
After 7 days resume normal activities.
• Keep brows dry for AT LEAST 24 hours.
• Use oils after 24 hours (castor/argan/coconut oil if not allergic)
• Do not apply make-up or receive any other eye treatments (waxing, plucking, lash extensions, etc.) for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
• NO swimming/sauna for 24 hours.
• Avoid the temptation to over-touch the brow area after treatment. Touching can add oils to the area (from fingers/hands) and could clog the open pores.
• Do not allow prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat; refrain the use of tanning beds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for 48 hours.
• No sweating/exercise for 24 hours.
• Do not apply Retin-A or AHA or exfoliate around the brow area for 3 days before and after the treatment.
• No self-tanning products should be used on the face for 48 hours after treatment.
• DON’T hit the beach or go swimming after eyebrow tinting/dye. Like hair dye, the quality of your color can be affected by sun exposure, salt water, and chlorine, so avoid these areas if you want to preserve your tint/dye to last. And try not to wash your face/Brow area, if possible, to extend it lasting.
• DON’T exfoliate the area after it’s been applied; thiswill remove and strip the color off. This includes cleansers with benzoyl peroxide that have bleaching properties to remove the color quickly.
